El 4 de julio de 2014 en la sesión bibliográfica de los viernes en el Monte San Isidro el Dr. Jose Luis Mostaza Fernández (Jefe Servicio MI) repasó los artículos más interesantes del Lancet ID de estos últimos meses, que son:

• Antibiotic prescription strategies for acute sore throat: a prospective observational cohort study.

• Effects of early versus delayed initiation of antiretroviral treatment on clinical outcomes of HIV-1 infection: results from the phase 3 HPTN 052 randomised controlled trial.

• Hospital admission rates for meningitis and septicaemia caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae in children in England over five decades: a population based observational study.

• Trends in bacterial, mycobacterial, and fungal meningitis in England and Wales 2004-11: an observational study.

• Efficacy of oseltamivir treatment started within 5 days of symptom onset to reduce influenza illness duration and virus shedding in an urban setting in Bangladesh: a randomised placebo controlled trial.

• Fever and rash in an immunocompromised child.
